Majesty Mnyandu

Majesty’s artistic journey started as an indigenous poet when he was still at school reciting the praise poetry of Zulu Kings in Zululand. This infused in him the love of Zulu history and the honourable tradition of storytelling. Dubbed “the mad man of the stage,” he fuses his storytelling with dance, music and animated talk. His high energy storytelling ability takes on various styles as he’s “attempting to make storytelling as attractive as possible because in the democratic South Africa it is not prioritized like other art forms.” He’s worked as a master of ceremonies at Windybrow Theatre and further advanced his storytelling career through arts administration training received trained at the Kwesukela Storytelling Academy.
