Nokuthula Nozi
Nozi’s passion for performance started at the age of 13 when she co-founded a modern dance and singing youth group in Kwa-Mhlanga, Mpumalanga. Today, she is a storyteller; facilitator specialising in storytelling, dance, music and arts; and a vocalist and voice artist. Through the performing arts organization, Amakhono we Sintu, she has travelled and performed in international festivals such as D Art Metis festival in Reunion and toured Italy with Art Ensemble of Chicago; she performed The Traveller; and received an award by the Department of Arts and Culture for Ishashalazi . She worked with Gibson Kente in a dramatic poetry organization called Native Essence which was supported by the late John Matshikiza, Kgotsiile Keorapetse and Ken Simonds of Wits Theatre. Additionally, she has shared the stage with established Artist such as Busi Mhlongo, Oliver Mtukudzi, Habib Koite and Sipho Gumede.
