Zintsomi Storytelling and Book Fair

A glossy cover, captivating illustrations and the crisp pages of a story book are the beginnings of a journey of imagination and adventure. The inaugural Zintsomi Storytelling and Book Fair empowers young children with cultural heritage, encourages them to create innovative programmes and highlights the importance of writing and storytelling.

Zintsomi believes that books are a key element on the journey to a better future.  That’s why we’re encouraging children and teens to not only read books but to also be a part of the creation process.

Join us as we explore books from various publishers, participate in master classes and watch entertaining storytelling performances.

Book Fair Mission and Vision
  • To cultivate and nurture the culture of reading and effective communication among children and teens.
  • To teach about storytelling as a knowledge and information sharing tool.
  • To introduce storytelling and writing as a future career choice among children and teens.
  • To encourage creative and innovative programs developed by children and teens.
  • To continue promoting storytelling and writing as heritage and culture in Africa.

Please join us on 17 & 18 March 2023, Constitutional Hill, Johannesburg. So many exciting activities to participate in, book sales. Closing date to purchase exhibitor ticket is 10 March 2023.

We welcome authors, publishers, and storytellers to exhibit their books and services at the book fair. The book fair expo and activities will have two spaces an inside area and an outside area on the lawn.

  • Indoor space – from R1 500 – includes chairs and tables but not a gazebo.
  • Outdoor space – from R1 200 – please bring your own tables and chairs and gazebo.
  • Each stand is 3m x 3m.
